Mangosteen Exporter Indonesia connects overseas buyers with fresh manggis (Garcinia mangostana) sourced across Jawa Barat, Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Utara and Bali. We quote FOB USD 2-3.5/kg indikatif per 2026 — grade- and season-dependent — from GACC- and OKKPD-registered packhouses, with MOQ from 1-3 MT scaling to full reefer loads of 10-25 MT.
Buyers looking for one Indonesian partner instead of a scatter of village middlemen use us to hold grade, cold chain and China documentation to a single standard. Everything below is indikatif and confirmed per batch — perishable produce and live protocol rules mean nothing here is a fixed contract until we quote your grade, size, destination and volume.
Which Indonesian regions do we source from?
Indonesia’s national mangosteen harvest runs roughly November to March, but it is regionally staggered — which is exactly why a national sourcing desk matters. When one region tapers, another peaks, so we can hold supply across a longer window than any single-origin farm.
| Region | Local name | Indicative harvest | Role in the network |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jawa Barat (Purwakarta, Subang) | manggis | Nov-Feb | High volume, close to Tanjung Priok |
| Sumatera Barat | manggis | Nov-Mar | Deep supply, strong export history |
| Sumatera Utara | manggis | Dec-Mar | Extends the tail of the season |
| Bali | manggis | Dec-Feb | China-facing; demand spikes pre-Imlek |
Bali is the clearest signal of where the market is heading: local reporting put Bali mangosteen exports to China up several-fold in the month before Lunar New Year in early 2026. China is our #1 destination, with Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and some Middle East and Europe buyers as secondary markets.
What does Indonesian mangosteen cost FOB in 2026?
We publish one honest FOB band, not a single fake number. Grading is by fruit-count per kilogram: a premium “Super” runs about 10 fruit/kg, while smaller grades run 15-20 fruit/kg. Bigger, blemish-free fruit that clears cosmetic and protocol standards sits at the top of the band.
| Grade (fruit-count/kg) | Profile | FOB indikatif 2026 (USD/kg) |
|---|---|---|
| FAQ / lower grade | Mixed size, minor cosmetic marks | 1.5-2.5 |
| Standard export grade A | ~12-15 fruit/kg, clean | 2.2-3.0 |
| Premium / Super | ~10 fruit/kg, blemish-free, China-protocol | 2.8-3.8 (rare lots ~4.0) |
The practical working range is about USD 2-3.5/kg FOB. These figures are indikatif per 2026 and move with the panen, grade and season — a final quote confirms your grade, size, destination and MOQ. Note that the China wholesale landed price you may see quoted elsewhere runs higher; that is a destination market price, not our FOB.
How does the export order work?
Sourcing runs through the Bali Premium Trip reservations desk, which coordinates registered packhouses and licensed exporters on your behalf. A typical flow:
- Send the brief. WhatsApp 6281128590000 or email sales@balipremiumtrip.com with destination, target grade/size, volume and delivery window. The quote form fields (destination, cargo) capture the same in one step.
- Get a graded quote. Within a 24-working-hour SLA we return an FOB band matched to current harvest, grade availability and port.
- Confirm the batch. We lock grade, carton size (5, 8 or 10 kg), packhouse and inspection plan, and confirm which registered OKKPD packhouse handles the lot.
- Documentation and cold chain. Fruit is pre-cooled and moved under reefer from farm to port while phytosanitary, GAP and origin paperwork is prepared.
- Load and ship. Reefer container departs Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), Tanjung Priok (Jakarta) or via Denpasar logistics toward Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou or Hong Kong.
What MOQ and cold-chain logistics apply?
Small buyers can start at MOQ 1-3 MT and scale to a full reefer container of roughly 10-25 MT once the relationship and quality are proven. Cold chain is continuous — pre-cooling at the packhouse through reefer transit to the destination port — because mangosteen is unforgiving once the chain breaks.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Minimum order | 1-3 MT |
| Full reefer container | ~10-25 MT |
| Carton sizes | 5 / 8 / 10 kg |
| Export ports | Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Denpasar logistics |
| Destination ports | Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong |
What China protocol and documents are required?
Exporting fresh mangosteen to China is a documented, audited process, and we will not pretend it is guaranteed. China’s General Administration of Customs (GACC) requires overseas facilities to register under Decree No. 248, in force since 1 January 2022. Since 5 September 2024 (GACC Announcement 2024 No. 105), overseas exporters can no longer apply directly and must entrust a GACC-authorized Chinese agent.
On the Indonesia side, fruit must come from orchards registered with Barantan and GACC that run SOP, GAP and IPM under the Directorate General of Horticulture, and it must be processed at a packhouse registered by OKKPP (central) or OKKPD (regional) and verified by Barantan under the agreed Export Protocol. Every lot needs:
- Registered-packhouse (OKKPD) approval
- Phytosanitary / quarantine certificate (free of target pests: fruit flies, mealybugs, ants, mites — OPTK-free)
- GAP documentation
- Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin
- Size-grading records and strict cosmetic standards; fruit must not be rotten or cracked
We coordinate this paperwork with the packhouse and authorities, but we do not and cannot guarantee that any specific shipment will clear China protocol, quarantine or customs — that decision rests with the authorities on inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which regions in Indonesia produce export-grade mangosteen?
The main export origins are Jawa Barat (Purwakarta, Subang), Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Utara and Bali. Each peaks at slightly different points across the national November-to-March harvest, so a multi-region network holds supply longer than any single farm. Bali has become the most China-facing origin, with exports spiking sharply ahead of Lunar New Year.
What is the minimum order quantity for mangosteen export from Indonesia?
Typical MOQ is 1-3 MT, which suits first orders and market testing. From there buyers scale to a full reefer container of roughly 10-25 MT. Fruit ships in 5, 8 or 10 kg export cartons. Final MOQ depends on grade availability and destination, confirmed when we quote your batch.
Why do Chinese buyers choose Indonesian mangosteen over other origins?
Indonesia’s harvest window and staggered regional supply let exporters serve China during high-demand periods, and Bali’s exports jumped several-fold ahead of Lunar New Year in early 2026. Competitive FOB pricing (about USD 2-3.5/kg indikatif 2026), improving GACC and OKKPD registration, and reefer cold chain to major Chinese ports all support the trade.
When is the best season to source Indonesian mangosteen?
The national harvest runs November to March, regionally variable across Jawa Barat, Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Utara and Bali. Peak supply generally means more grade choice and steadier FOB pricing, while demand and prices firm up ahead of Lunar New Year. Book early for that window, as premium Super lots move fast.
